On the afternoon of October 21, 2026, British Grandmaster Nigel Short will face selected challengers in a simultaneous exhibition at the KMSKA in Antwerp. Best known for his 1993 World Championship match against Garry Kasparov, Short is a two-time Commonwealth champion and one of the strongest players of his generation — he will both play this afternoon simul and commentate the evening main event. Participants earn their seat through selection tournaments across Belgium.
