What did our little chess players think...

Thanks to Your Next Move, I got to play against Garry Kasparov as a youth chess player. What started with an exciting selection tournament turned into a childhood dream come true. That experience still motivates me, and the photo with Kasparov sits on my desk. Now, I contribute to Your Next Move so other youth chess players can experience this too.

The simultaneous exhibition against Kasparov with Your Next Move was the highlight of my chess career. Playing against a chess legend at 11 and briefly meeting him was special. I was proud that he had to think for a few minutes at my board, which is quite unique in a simul.

Chess has always had a special place in my heart. When I was eight years old, I had the chance to play chess against Kasparov. It was an unforgettable experience! The selection process leading up to it was very exciting. It wasn’t just a big challenge; it also gave me a lot of self-confidence and a sense of accomplishment. Although I have neglected chess a bit lately due to my studies, I still realize how much joy it brought me. Now and then, I still play with friends at a café. Maybe I will start playing more often again soon.
